Anthropic Plans to Invest $100 Million to Train 10,000 Engineers, Solving the "Talent Shortage" in Enterprise AI Adoption
IT之家 October 3rd news, Anthropic plans to invest $100 million (IT之家 note: approximately 671 million RMB at current exchange rates) to train 10,000 engineers, helping enterprises move AI projects from concept to real business applications.
On October 2nd local time, Anthropic announced the launch of the Claude Frontier Academy training program, targeting a major bottleneck in enterprise AI adoption: there is still a shortage of talent who truly understand how to develop AI and deploy it in actual enterprise operations.
The first batch of engineers to participate in training comes from Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, Novo Nordisk, and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia. Anthropic's goal is to train 10,000 frontier deployment engineers by the end of 2027.

According to the plan, engineers will first participate in a multi-day in-person training session, taught by Anthropic engineers and instructors, and will go through simulated enterprise projects covering scenario selection, security review, and project handover. After passing the assessment, they will enter a 12-week intensive training phase, returning to their respective organizations to lead a real Claude project. The first cohort is expected to obtain certification in early 2027.
According to Business Insider, this plan also reflects that frontier deployment engineers are becoming an increasingly in-demand role in the AI industry.
Frontier deployment engineers work directly with clients, adapting technical solutions to the client's existing systems, data, and workflows. They not only participate in determining what to develop, but also integrate new technology into existing systems and ensure employees can actually use them.
In December 2025, Accenture established the Anthropic Business Group while promising to provide Claude training for approximately 30,000 professionals, including the company's internal "reskilling deployment engineers."
Last month, Accenture partnered with Google Cloud to deploy 1,000 engineers with major clients to implement AI agents.
Consulting firms have long sent teams into client organizations to solve problems. After the spread of AI, such work requires stronger technical capabilities, and engineers also need to truly understand how clients conduct their business, which is why frontier deployment engineers have begun to play a greater role.
